Picking the right niche when you are getting into affiliate marketing is something that will require a little research. One thing you probably already know is that the Internet marketing niche is the most popular niche for new marketers. While this can be a very profitable niche it is also a niche that has a great deal of competition. Some affiliate marketers that have been doing this for a while can end up doing good in this niche. However if your new to affiliate marketing you may want to choose a niche with less competition. In this article we are going to show you how to select a profitable niche that you should be able to do well in.

First off you need to pick a niche that you think has little competition and also has a demand. The Clickbank marketplace is a great place to find a niche you may want to get into. Then once you find the niche check out the affiliate products in that niche. The first thing you will want to do is to locate a product or service that sells well, you can find good products by looking at the gravity of the product, it should be over 30. The average $ per sale is another thing you will want to look at in Clickbanks market place. Now locate the initial $ per sale and compare the difference between the two. When you compare the two numbers together you can find out if people keep the product or ask for a refund. If the prices are almost identical then you know the refund rate is very low. One thing you will also need to remember is that the average $ per sale must be greater than the initial $ per sale, if this is not the case you should think about a different product.

Once you have a niche and a product you will then need to get a Google Adwords account. The only reason for getting this is so you can use their keyword research tool. You will not have to pay any money to Google to use this. The keyword research tool will help you determine the competition the niche has and will also be able to help you find keywords you may want to target for your site. The main thing you are looking for are keywords you can target that get at least 5, 000 searches a month and also doesn’t have huge competition.

Now you have a good niche with keywords that you can target, in order to start making money in this niche. For anyone who is new to affiliate marketing you should set up a blog and use the keywords you found through Google to create keyword targeted posts. You can set up your own blog on your own domain for under $10. Some of you may prefer to get started with no money, in which case you can use Google to create a free account on their blogger platform. And that’s it, you now know how to find a profitable niche without too much competition, and the best way to get started promoting your affiliate products.
